HAUL + STORE REVIEW: Korean cosmetics Honestskin.com
Hi everyone!
This haul/store review is going to be on the korean cosmetics mall, honestskin.com. I actually received two seperate packages from honestskin, one that i ordered and purchased myself and another package that i won from one of their gift box events. Please keep reading if you want to know about my experience from this site.
Honestskin is one of those websites of which i subscribe to their newsletter but i never really planned on making an order. I think i discovered this website from a YouTuber and ever since i’ve been subscribed to their newsletter. They had amazing sales in the past, like 30% off every item, amazing discounts on 3CE items etc. They carry a variety of brands and i’ve mentioned them in a PSA post before.
I decided to order from honestskin when i saw that they had a clearance sale going on. Curious, i went to check what they might have in the clearance sale and i found… Etude House goodies! Lipsticks, lip tints, eye products and everything for SO CHEAP! They were probably around 50%-70% off which is crazy. They had the Etude House Dear My Darling lip tints for around $2 and lipsticks for around $3-4. Ah i wish i took a screenshot of their crazy prices! At that time i didn’t know much about the site but i added a bunch of stuff in my cart and checkout.
Honestskin doesn’t provide free shipping, but their shipping is very reasonable in my opinion. It depends on the quantity of items and not the weight (great if you want to buy skincare/body items that are usually heavier). They do provide tracking number which is nice for impatient people such as I haha.
I got my tracking number a few days after the order was shipped. By then, they did notify me that they cancelled two of the products i ordered because they were out of stock. I was pretty upset that they had to cancel some items but i could understand. They did issue a refund, but not for the shipping fees. When the package finally arrived, It came very nicely packaged, wrapped with a bunch of bubble wraps to ensure anything won’t break/whatsoever. I was very very happy with my purchase, proud of myself for snatching a bunch of Etude House goodies for a fraction of their actual prices. Such a steal!
Then a few days later, i received an email notifying me that i was one of the 15 winners to win their gift box event. I was super stocked! Since this was a blogger event, the products sent are for review purposes. Either way, i was anticipating it.
First Package:
Ordered: 25th October 2014
Shipped: 29th October 2014
Arrived: 4th November 2014
Total: 10 days from South Korea to Switzerland.
Second (event prize) Package:
Shipped: 7th November 2014
Arrived: 19th November 2014
Total: 12 days from South Korea to Switzerland
So here’s a tldr; I was satisfied with my purchase from honestskin.com. I’ve had a good experience with this site aside some products getting cancelled because it was out of stock. I can definitely see myself making future purchases on this site ^^ I really advice you to register and just subscribe to their newsletter to get notified for future sales and events.
Pros:✿ They carry a variety of brands
✿ They have amazing sales and events
✿ Shipping is reasonable
✿ Site layout is easy to browse
✿ Provides tracking number
Cons:
✖ It can take time for them to actually ship your package after payment.Now on to the actual haul!
✖ If an item is out of stock, they will send your package without the item anyway. They will refund the cost of your item but not the shipping.
✖ Very few samples :(

I don’t know how much each item costed cause they just wrote the total discount amount in the order page but the total of my purchase was around $36 shipping already included. I kid you not. Talk about a good deal right?

Gift Box Event
I’m very happy with the contents of their first gift box event. I wasn’t expecting this much! They basically include items that i was thinking of purchasing myself. Most of the items are items from the clearance sale. They’re honestly probably some left over stock that they couldn’t get rid of with the clearance sale but i have no problem at all with that ^^ Very happy to see a 3CE product! Proud to say that i finally have my very first 3 Concept Eyes item hahaha. Please look out for the reviews soon!
